About the High School Liaison
|
 |
The Job The position of High School Liaison was created to meet the needs of our rapidly growing local in two
areas: 1) to provide a voice on the Executive Board specifically for high school teachers, 2) to better enable the President
and the Executive Board to carry out the leadership tasks assigned to them by our members.
How It Works Each
school site is entitled to one representative on Rep Council for every twenty members on its faculty. Since we have tripled
in size in little over a decade, the AEA President often cannot directly address the questions and concerns of every representative
in a timely fashion. Therefore members are encouraged to bring unresolved issues to their school site representative, who,
in turn, will contact their Elementary, Middle, or High School Liaison if further help is needed. Their liaison can, and will,
work directly with the President, Executive Board, and/or CTA staff to promptly achieve a satisfactory solution to their problems.
